I made this animation with the topic Identity in mind.

The idea is that a young nomad has to traverse through giant desert as some kind of challenge to become an adult.
When he finally finds that tower of masks he takes one and puts it on. From that moment he has a face, an identity. While he gains an identity he loses his individuality because everyone in his tribe is wearing these masks.

The text in the animation reads as follows

Only if he survives all the obstacles of the Dry Passage,
and holds the Sign in his hands at the end,
only then he is one of Us.

The animation was made with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
